NABLUS, Saturday, May 21, 2022 (WAFA) – The Israeli military blocked six out of seven access roads to the town of Hawwara, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, as a punishment for hoisting Palestinian flags, according to a local official. Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors Israeli settlement activities in the north of the West Bank, said the six roads connect Hawwara to nearby towns and villages. Only one access road, the main one used also by Jewish settlers, was kept open. The Israeli step came after residents kept hoisting the Palestinian flag in the town despite attempts by soldiers and settlers alike to remove them and replace them with Israeli flags. M.K.
